Highland Coo's in the city!

Tour Description

Iconic, cute and extremely photogenic, these hardy yet docile animals can be found right across Scotland, including right here in Edinburgh! In the Pentland Hills, just 5 miles from the city centre, a herd of Highland Cattle (we call them coo's) grazes free in 300 acres of beautiful countryside. Join our circular walk into the Pentlands Hills Regional Park with outstanding views over the Pentlands and Edinburgh. The walk takes you up Allermuir hill and through the hamlet of Swanston with its charming thatched and whitewashed cottages. You will be rewarded with excellent views across Edinburgh, Arthur's Seat, Lothian coast, Bass Rock, the Lammermuir Hills, the rest of the Pentlands and across the Firth of Forth to Fife. And hopefully along the way we will get to see a coo or two! Price is per private tour with a maximum of 8 participants.
